I had the most fun taking the portraits of my dog, Bo. I have had Bo for a little over a year by now and he’s quickly become an important part of my life. He is energetic, playful, and cuddly, and I love him so much. I took these photos in my backyard, right after he dug a big hole. That’s where the lighting is best, so I grouped him in front of the trees and took the pictures. I ended up appreciating that he was muddy - I thought the mud on his face showed how adventurous Bo is.
It was difficult to take the photos with good framing and nice selective focus because he kept squirming around. Luckily, he paused long enough for me to take a few pictures. There is a slight horizon line that I left behind his head, but otherwise I'm happy with how the background is not very noisy.
